Kelly Teed - Founder:   Prior to founding A Better Opportunity in 1997, Kelly spent ten years with a staffing/executive search firm in Fairfield County, CT.  She was responsible for managing the administrative staffing division, while also placing professionals in entry to executive level positions.  Kelly was also responsible for generating new business and led the firm in billings in seven out of her ten years with the firm.  Her industry expertise includes healthcare, technology, oil and gas, investment banking, trading, real estate, legal, public relations, retail, marketing and entertainment.

Tricia Hopkins - President:  Tricia joined A Better Opportunity in January 2002 to develop the firm’s human resources capability.  She has over 15 years of diversified experience in the human resources field. Most recently, Tricia was a Senior Human Resources Consultant specializing in Employee Relations at Imagistics International/Pitney Bowes Office Systems.  Prior to that, Tricia was an HR Leader with Oxford Health Plans for 6 years where she created the Human Resources function in their largest New York office as well as building the HR department at Oxford’s corporate location.  Tricia began her career as a recruiter with a local executive search firm, followed by five years in the human resources department at MCI Telecommunications where she was promoted a number of times within the HR organization.  At MCI, she was responsible for employee relations, recruiting, rightsizing/downsizing, benefits, training and compensation.  Tricia’s vast and hands-on experience in human resources, along with her deep understanding of state and federal labor laws, make her a valuable asset to our firm.  Along with Kelly, she owns and runs the firm.
